How to Adjust the Alignment
When assembling the coupling and single-axis actuator, if the alignment is performed properly, there will be a gap between the actuator shaft and the coupling shaft hole. As a result, the table will not move even if the coupling is rotated, and the coupling will not rotate even if the table is slid. If the table moved when you rotated the coupling, or the coupling rotated when you slid the table, you will need to adjust the alignment.
This page explains how to adjust the alignment.
1. Loosen the motor flange fixing screw.
At this time, the coupling screw on the motor shaft side is tightened to the prescribed screw tightening torque, and the coupling screw on the actuator shaft side is not yet tightened.2. Adjust the alignment.
①When checking alignment by rotating the couplingMove the motor up/down and left/right, and adjust it to a position where the table does not move even if the coupling is rotated.
②When checking alignment by sliding the table
Move the motor up/down and left/right, and adjust it to a position where the coupling does not rotate even if the table is slid.
3. In the adjusted position, fix the motor flange to the actuator.
4. Check the alignment between both shafts.
Rotate the coupling, and make sure that the table does not move.Or, slide the table, and make sure that the coupling does not rotate.
If the table moved when you rotated the coupling, or the coupling rotated when you slid the table, please re-do the procedure starting with Step 1.
5. Tighten the clamp bolt on the ball screw side to the prescribed screw tightening torque. Use a torque screwdriver, etc., to control the tightening torque.
